The simple operation uses a singe pull-to-start, push-to-stop switch that is easy to learn and understand. Both the upper and lower pulleys are completely enclosed and the blade is guarded above and below the cutting zone. A pusher plate is included to eliminate the need for handling items too close to the blade. No belts are used in this unit, which means there is one less thing that is at risk for breaking, adjusting, slipping, and needing to be replaced. The integrated pulley system is precisionly balanced for true-running of the blade. The loss of blade integrity is prevented thanks to the blade-retaining double flanges and center crown.
